Hämeenlinna Taekwondo Club

Hämeenlinna Taekwondo club was founded in 1984. The Finnish Taekwondo Union (STU) serves as the governing body for our club. We are also member of the Finnish Taekwondo Federation. We offer high-quality training in the fast-paced and versatile martial arts. In Taekwondo, you can practice kicks, punches, self-defense techniques, parries, sparring and sets of moves (poomsae). Hämeenlinna taekwondo club practices World Taekwondo (WT), which is an official Olympic sport. Taekwondo is suitable for of all ages and sizes, starting from 7 years old

Our head instructor, Anne Hiltunen (4th dan), has been practicing Taekwondo for over 20 years. She began her journey in 1992 at Riihimäki Taekwondo Club and was one of the founders of Länkyn Taekwondo Club in 2016. Anne is responsible for the quality of teaching.

All of our club's instructors possess extensive experience in various aspects of Taekwondo. Each instructor has undergone training and is committed to further education and skill development. This dedication is aimed at providing the club's practitioners with the best possible instruction and guidance.

Beginners course
The next beginner's course started on August 14, 2025. Information about the next course will be announced here when the date is confirmed. Please note that we do not have separate groups in English! All classes are primarily conducted in Finnish. If needed, we will provide brief explanations in English to ensure everyone's active participation in the learning process. Minimum age for the course is 7 years.

License and Insurance
Participation in our classes does not require Taekwondo license. However, we highly recommend obtaining one, as the license grants the right to take part in events, camps, and competitions.

Please note that Hämeenlinna Taekwondo Club does not provide or insurance coverage to its members. Our instructors and coaches are not liable for any potential accidents.

We strongly advise acquiring accident insurance, even though accidents are extremely rare on our classes. A suitable insurance covering Taekwondo-related recreational and competitive activities can be acquired through the Finnish Taekwondo Federation. If you already have insurance, we recommend confirming whether they cover martial arts at both recreational and competitive levels.

Prices and payment details

Family discount
Members who have completed the basic course are eligible for a family discount!

If more than one member from the same family trains in our club, the other family members are eligible for a 50% discount on the season fees. The divided annual fee remains the same for everyone. In the table below, you can easily see the total season fee for each number of family members.

100 - 160cm with belt 57€ (without belt 52€)
170 - 200cm with belt 62€ (without belt 57€)

Belt test prices
the price includes the actual belt test and a new belt. The price of the belt examination is determined based on the current belt rank/color.

Tehotabata Taekwondo – kunnossa kaiken ikää

Tehotabata Taekwondo tarjoaa kamppailuhenkistä kuntoliikuntaa musiikin kanssa kaikille yli 15-vuotiaille. Aiempaa kokemusta ei tarvitse kamppailulajeista paitsi kunnon asenteen ja halun pysyä hyvässä kunnossa.

Tunti sisältää alku- ja loppuverryttelyt sekä syke- ja lihaskunto-osuudet. Viimeinen 30 minuuttia on varattu liikkuvuus- ja venyttelyosuuteen.
Vaatetus: verkkarit, t-paita, jalkineet/paljaat jalat, sekä jumppamatto(valinnainen) ja juomapullo.
